Mike Tyon's Reaction To Ronda Rousey's Suicide Comments

Boxing legend speaks on Rousey's controversial comments.

You could argue that Mike Tyson - a name synonymous with controversy and fame - is the perfect sportsmen to ask about the euphoric highs and soul crushing lows of fame and combat sports. Tyson became a phenom from a young age, captivating the masses and becoming the youngest Heavyweight champion of all time. Talk about a high. However, it's never been all plain sailing for the boxing icon, with drug abuse, shock losses and financial bankruptcy defining some stunning low points. With his own past experiences presumably squarely in mind, the former Heavyweight champion recently spoke to TMZ Sports to reach out and offer some words of wisdom to Rousey following her recent comments on the Ellen Show that she contemplated suicide following her loss to Holly Holm.
"Everybody has a bad day at the office. She needs to focus on coming back, eventually. She can do what she wants, you need to be happy to do this stuff."
Tyson did say that the suicide comments from Rousey were probably just said in the spur of the moment and he believes that she is now in a much better state of mind. A few boxers have since reached out to assist Rousey with her boxing, including Andre Berto and the MMA world now awaits the next move from Ronda Rousey on her path back to becoming champion.
