Cormier Suggest TUF Season Vs Jon Jones

With Jon Jones€™ popularity never more in question, Zuffa contracted Heavyweight Daniel Cormier claims to have found the ideal solution to his current popularity issues. ESPN are reporting that Cormier has raised the idea of a TUF season rivalry between the two. The Olympic wrestler is far and away the most appealing Heavyweight prospect outside of the UFC right now and an upcoming fight against former UFC Champion Frank Mir should show exactly where Cormier ranks among the division€™s best. He would however have no problems dropping to 205 to face the greatest fighter on the planet.
€œHopefully, him and I get through our next fight. At the beginning of the year, let us coach the next season of the Ultimate Fighter. That gives me time to actually get my weight down, and in the Summer time, we fight.€

UFC Ploughing Money into Canadian Economy

The UFC have been pumping millions of dollars into the Toronto economy reports the Toronto Sun ahead of UFC 152 coming up 22nd September. Ontario lifted its ban on MMA two years ago when it was predicted that the UFC alone would generate more than $6 million annually into the local economy. Tom Wright, the UFC€™s Canadian operations director, believes that figure has been exceeded in a big way. He said the UFC conducted a study after Toronto€™s first event back at UFC 129 at the Rogers Centre. Their reports showed that a figure closer to $30 million found its way into the city as a direct result of the company. Hotels, restaurants, bars, stores and the 5% gate fee collected by the Government of Ontario on ticket sales at the events have all benefitted from the experience and Premier Dalton McGuinty believes his decision to lift the MMA ban has been vindicated.
