3. DaQuan Bowers
Heres a player who has an absurd amount of potential, but keeps running into problems along the way of his career. Widely regarded as the probable number one pick leading up to the 2011 NFL Draft, Bowers dropped to the second round after multiple medical issues crushed his draft stock. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers swooped in to draft him, with the expectation being that Bowers could become a steal if he stayed healthy. Well so far, those expectations have yet to be met, as Bowers has a season-high of three sacks so far in his NFL career. On top of this, Bowers hasnt gotten rid of his medical concerns, tearing his Achilles tendon to start off the 2012 NFL season. If there was ever a time to improve and silence his critics, the 2013 NFL season would be the perfect time. With fellow defensive end Michael Bennett leaving for the Seattle Seahawks, Bowers is set for a prime opportunity at double-digit sacks, which his coach Greg Schiano expects of him this season as well. If Bowers cant take advantage of this season, then he might not have much of a future playing for the Bucs, let alone the NFL.
