Rangers Could Face 10 Point Deduction For Next Two Seasons

Troubled Scottish giants Rangers could be forced to start their next two seasons with a 10-point deduction.

Troubled Scottish giants Rangers could be forced to start their next two seasons with a 10-point deduction, if they are relaunched as a new name and company. The Scottish Premier League have announced that they will hear new proposals for financial fair play at a meeting on April 30th. Rangers, who are currently in administration, are facing the threat of liquidation which may result in their assets be transfered to a new company. Scottish Premier League's new proposals state that any club that enters administration would be docked at least 15 points instead of 10 points as it is currently. The new stricter proposal even says that any club who suffer an insolvency event could lose as many as a third of their total points from the previous campaign. Also a failure to pay players wages on time would also be a breach of the new SPL rules. All failures to make payment details would have to declared to the HM Revenue and Customs in respect of PAYE and National Insurance contributions.
