Spurs: 5 Valid Reasons They're Not Just A One-Man Team

1. One Man Isn't Enough At Premier League Level

Bale

It's as simple as this: One man isn't enough to win a match at Premier League level, or indeed in any competition at the top end of professional football. It is a foolish person who thinks otherwise. Bale doesn't keep out every shot an opponent takes, Bale doesn't win every ball to gain the possession Spurs require to score in the first place, Bale doesn't win every free-kick that he goes on to score and Bale isn't creating all of the space he gets in to in order to be in a position to score. It is a huge injustice to a team of full internationals to suggest that, without Bale, they are nothing. As outstanding a player as Bale is, shrugging off the importance of the 10 other players representing Spurs at any given time is highly unfair and, quite simply, enormously incorrect. So what do you think? Are Spurs a one man team? If so, can you justify that notion following on from the facts in this article? Feel free to try below!
