Ever since his decisive loss to Jon Jones, people tend to forget about Rashad Evans. This has occurred in any category of rankings. Since people don't consider him a title contender ever again, some have soured on him and consider him a non-entity. That's a shameful mistake, considering Evans was a part of the most successful Ultimate Fighter season of all time. Then you have to take into account that his fight with Rampage Jackson was the most bought pay-per-view in history that didn't feature a title fight. You can say Jackson's popularity in being in the A-Team was the main reason for that, but it takes two fighters to draw a huge audience in. Ronda Rousey's UFC career so far is a prime example of that. Evans has cooled down over the past few years in terms of being outspoken. That doesn't take away from him being a recognizable figure. His feuds with Jackson and Jon Jones are some of the most memorable feuds in UFC history. His persona shouldn't be forgotten, after those entertaining moments. In a transitional stage for the UFC, Evans is still one of the prominent names that garners attention. Similar to Rousey, he tends to get a mixed reaction. Fans will always be conflicted about him being charismatic or arrogant, but they shouldn't be conflicted about how great his persona is.
