http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4ndgeP-Eeg The multiple time Jiu Jitsu world champion Ronaldo Jacare made his way into the UFC's rankings with a first round knockout of Yushin Okami and a dominant submission over Chris Camozzi. He is now considered the third best middleweight in the UFC and is set to fight Francis Carmont February 15. If he wins, the UFC will most likely give him a title fight as the number one ranked 185er is Anderson Silva and the number two ranked middleweight is already scheduled to fight for the belt. What makes the former Strikeforce champion so dangerous is not just his elite level grappling which is hands down the best in the division but his athleticism and strength which have allowed him to develop into a powerful striker as well. His overhand right which floored Okami, is an ever improving part of his arsenal. Jacare has began to set it up well with faints, kicks and his left hook as oppose to just throwing it with reckless abandon like he has in the past. Moreover Souza uses powerful kicks, which are known for their unpredictability. Jacare likes to walk down his opponents and set up a right hand or drive the other fighter near the cage where he can use his black belt in Judo to take the fight to the ground. It will be difficult for Souza to take Weidman down but the latter with also find it very hard to do anything against Jacare on the ground. He will have to deal with a very active and elite BJJ skill set, Weidman is a brown belt in Jiu Jitsu and should be careful not to grapple very long with Jacare who is well versed in explosive submissions even from his back. When it comes to the feet both guys are relatively even but this clash of styles is one the fans deserve to see.
