UFC On FOX 12: Lawler vs. Brown Main Card Predictions

Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Brown

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMwHfMCxM2U Weight Class: Welterweight Is there any chance this main event will be dull? (And now I quickly look for something wooden to knock on). Matt "The Immortal" Brown (21-11) is currently on a seven fight win streak in the UFC. His most recent victory came in front of a roaring home-town crowd in Ohio at UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva in Cincinnati. That came by way of a third round knockout. Pundits have mentioned Brown's name in conjunction with title talk now and then over the past year or so as his streak grew, but there was always the matter of quality: the majority of Brown's opponents haven't exactly been top names. Well, "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler (23-10, 1NC) is a top name, coming off a win over Jake Ellenberger that followed a close loss to Johny Hendricks for GSP's vacant welterweight title. Now, Lawler has the chance to earn a second shot at Hendricks, and Brown has the chance to prove he's as good as his recent record shows. The outcome? Ruthless takes this one Likely via decision, as Brown has shown he can take a shot and survive wars. Brown's prone to submission losses, but with one submission victory to nineteen KO/TKOs, Lawler's extremely unlikely to try and look for a choke or the like. Either way, expect a war.
