Valencia vs Swansea - Team News, Match Preview & Likely Line-Ups

Match Preview

There were some who may have feared the worst when Swansea where paired with Spanish giants Valencia in Group A of the Europa League. However, now could be as good a time as any to take on the La Liga outfit. Valencia are without a win in over a month, are 16th in the league and have been forced to deny there is unrest in the dressing room. That being said, the Mestalla has proven over the years to be a difficult stadium for English clubs to visit, and manager Vicente Guaita has promised his side will go out and attack in this afternoon's early kick-off, before issuing a warning to any disgruntled players. He told Sky Sports:
"We are never going to be conservative, we are Valencia and we go for the other team. "I've never seen a player who does not want to win, if the players want to make it bad for the coach then the coach can decide who plays for Valencia."
Swansea meanwhile are hardly in the best run of form themselves of late. Despite an impressive 2-2 draw vs Liverpool, they have only won once in the Premier League and were thrashed by Manchester United at the beginning of the campaign. Joining these two sides in Group A is Russian club Kuban Krasnodar and Swiss outfit St. Gallen, two teams who can be considered beatable from Swansea's perspective. A draw here tonight then would certainly be a positive result for Laudrup's men, and that may be just what they come for, and will be hoping the attacking talents of Michu and Wilfried Bony will be enough to see them through.
