10 Recent Star Wars Truths We've Just Found Out
Updates on movies, the true power of certain weapons, and other Star Wars truths recently revealed.
The galaxy far, far away is a place that is constantly evolving and changing on-screen, in comic books and novels, within video games, and behind the scenes. And with new information seemingly dropping by the week about everything from incoming projects, to certain characters and notable items, Star Wars fans are never honestly that far away from having a fresh truth fired their way.
Hell, this year's Star Wars Celebration Europe alone brought with it Kamino-esque waves of jaw-dropping revelations in the form of precisely who will be playing certain terrifying big bad blue figures in upcoming TV shows and what the next round of long-awaited big-screen Star Wars projects will actually look like.
But even in the time since that event went down, a ton of other interesting, unexpected or just plain disappointing truths have already tumbled out of this Force-sensitive franchise, too.
Simply put, this corner of the galaxy just does not sleep.
So, from precisely what sort of role returning characters look set to play in their incoming movie outings, to which exciting potential projects may not actually be blasting onto our screens at all, it's time to dive into some of the Star Wars truths that have only recently come to light.
10. Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 Isn't In Active Development
After evidently having the time of his damn life stepping back into Obi-Wan Kenobi's boots for Disney+'s titular series, Ewan McGregor hasn't exactly been shy about wanting to return once again to the role of the legendary Jedi Master for a second season.
And with Season One ending with Kenobi being reunited with his Force Ghost Master Qui-Gon Jinn before seemingly heading off to learn some vital final lessons from the fallen Jedi, a follow-up season definitely holds the potential to be another rather compelling dose of small-screen Star Wars.
Unfortunately for those angling to see more McGregor and Liam Neeson exchanges in a second season, though, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy recently revealed that, while Ewan in particular "really wants to do another", Season Two of Obi-Wan Kenobi is "not in active development" at this current moment in time.
That being said, Kennedy was also quick to add that you can "never say never, because there’s always the possibility." Lucasfilm clearly have their hands full with their already announced slate of upcoming TV shows and movies. But once they've got a few projects out of the way, Kennedy added that "we’ll turn our attention to that again maybe down the road.”
So, from a certain point of view, Season Two still isn't entirely off the table.
