Star Wars: 20 Things You Somehow Missed In The Mandalorian

18. A New Hope's Trash Compactor Rod

Respectfully tipping its helmet to the Skywalker Saga tales that came before it in a number of intriguing ways over the course of its first three seasons, one of the more obscure Original Trilogy salutes can be found in the alleys of Nevarro.

Look closely as Din Djarin moves through the shadows in Chapter 3: The Sin and right as Mando heads down one particularly dark alleyway, a rather familiar rod can be found propped up against a wall.

Those who fondly remember Luke, Han, Leia, and Chewie's attempts to keep from getting squished in a trash compactor during the events of A New Hope will recognise this as the same sort of item Solo and Organa were using to keep the walls from closing in.

But during a first watch of Season 1, it's a cool Episode IV Easter egg that's easily overlooked.
