10. The DC Animated Universe

For kids growing up in the 90s and 00s, the various cartoons making up the DC Animated Universe (AU) were the definitive versions of Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Hawkgirl, and many more. Starting in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series (TAS) and ending in 2006 with Justice League Unlimited, the DC AU encompasses 8 series and 4 movies of varying quality and success. The most highly regarded DC AU works include Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, Batman Beyond (a sequel to Batman: TAS where an elderly Bruce Wayne passes the Batman mantle to a teenager named Terry McGinnis), and the two Justice League series, along with the Batman Beyond movie Return of the Jokerthe one of the only DC AU properties with a Blu-Ray release to date (the other being Justice League). While The New Batman Adventures, The Zeta Project (a Batman Beyond spinoff), and Static Shock were weaker than the core DC AU shows, they were still interesting in their own right, expanding the universe in unexpected ways. For example, The Zeta Project showed off the world beyond future Gotham, while Static Shock was the only series to take place mostly in a lower class urban setting and to explore heroes in the DC AUs past. All of the major DCAU works and The New Batman Adventures (as the fourth volume of Batman: TAS) received full DVD releases, but Static Shock and Zeta Project only have partial releases (digital downloads of season 1 for the former and a first season DVD for the latter). Given the fact that Warner Bros. have put out remastered Blu-Rays for Looney Toons, theres a good chance that the original materials for most, if not all of these series exist. While there might be some hurdles in marketing Static Shock and Zeta Project, this might be the best opportunity to preserve the entire DC AU in its entirety.
