12 Small Details You Only Notice Rewatching Breaking Bad

6. Madrigal Was Referenced A Season Before Any Character Acknowledged It

Though it only really starts factoring into the plot in Season 4, and only shows up in the flesh in Season 5, Madrigal Electromotive is one of the biggest plot points in Breaking Bad.

The business was essentially how Gus was able to acquire everything he needed for his empire without arousing suspicion, with Madrigal providing some of the manpower and most of the equipment necessary to build a super meth lab.

The spectre of Madrigal is present even before anyone mentions it by name however, as the link between it and Los Pollos Hermanos is actually highlighted all the way back in Season 3.

Admittedly, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, during a commercial for the fast food chain, but in one of the shots the small print at the bottom reads: "Los Pollos Hermanos, Inc. is a registered trademark of Madrigal Electromotive GmbH."
