12 TV Reboots You Didn't Know Were Coming
1. Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Disney+ are really going all in on the spin offs and reboots. The House Of Mouse clearly already has an impressive back catalogue to work with, especially considering Pixar, Marvel Studios and Star Wars are now under their umbrella. That's more than enough content to build a streaming platform, but in order to really dominate the market, Disney understands it needs new content.
The Clone Wars was cancelled in 2013, ironically enough after Disney purchased Lucasfilm and decided to do a complete reshuffle. While it's not technically new content in that it's a revival, it means new episodes, new storylines and new adventures. Considering it was only cancelled relatively recently, that means there's still plenty of fans waiting to tune in.
Disney understands marketing better than anyone. More Clone Wars, along with spin offs for the likes of Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye and the Winter Soldier, makes Disney+ a massive draw.
These reboots, revivals and reinventions of established characters are the perfect way to draw in audiences with something both new and familiar all at once. It feels like a pretty easy win for Disney, especially after the success of The Mandalorian.
