6 Times That Margaery From Game Of Thrones Dropped The Mic
Would you like some aloe for that burn?
The Game of Thrones universe certainly has it's fair share of seriously sassy ladies. George and the show runners really know how to write their characters some impressive verbal punches. From the beginning, it appeared that Cersei took off running with the title of, "Most Likely To Eviscerate You With Words and Fierce Eyebrow Quirking." Few have come close to challenging this title.
Until now.
Margaery glided into King's Landing wearing a dress cut down to her navel and a smile, and hasn't stopped her reign of seduction since. Girlfriend is slowly developing her sass muscle and it is truly delightful to watch. The most shocking part of Margaery's brazen journey of assertiveness is that it often gets aimed at everyone's favorite hell demon, Cersei Lannister.
The new queen has a wonderful way of slicing through someone while still maintaining her poise and signature smirk. This method of maneuvering herself into powerful positions is what makes Margaery so impressive and unique. She uses her womanly wiles when she needs to on the unsuspecting boy kings but also knows how to manipulate less gullible people with pure wit and intelligence.
You simultaneously find yourself bracing for impact when she happily disgraces King Landing's most intimidating figures, but then you end up cheering for her when she somehow walks away with her head still attached to her body. She is a true master of the passive aggressive slight and her mic drops are pretty legendary. Come take a journey through some examples of her verbal wizardry.
6. Don't Get It Twisted
Littlefinger- "Do you want to be a queen?"
Margaery- "No. I want to be the queen."
Episode: The Ghost of Harrenhal
Margaery pulls zero punches in this scene. She knows what she has to do and she knows who she has to reveal her plans to in order for them to come to fruition.
Margaery isn't content to rest on her sexy laurels, she is a lady beast and is planning to shatter that glass ceiling. She drops this line so casually because to her, that question was pretty redundant. It was as if Littlefinger asked her if she had aspirations to work the Frialator.
