Arrow Season 4: 5 Ups And 6 Downs From 'Canary Cry'
2. Ruve Adams' Master Plan
Sure, it may have ultimately been thwarted by Green Arrow talking around this new Black Canary to not kill Ruve Adams, but it was still brilliant to see the chess game that Ruve played where Team Arrow was concerned.
Make no mistake about it, Ruve knew that Laurel Lance was the Black Canary way before Oliver reveals the news at Laurel’s funeral, and she manipulated the situation fantastically here. With Alex having been attacked by Black Canary, then with her attacked by Diggle’s Spartan, not to mention bringing up how vigilantes were present during the death of DA Laurel Lance, Ruve sees this as the perfect opportunity to turn Star City against Team Arrow and their kind as she issues arrest warrants on them.
It was great to see Ruve Adams shown to be such a shrewd, calculating sort here, with her firmly establishing herself as another member of the Darhk family that Green Arrow has to keep an eye on.
