After releasing two seasons of the excellent (and award-snatching) Happy Valley, showrunner Sally Wainwright pretty much had carte blanche to do what she wanted for her next project.
That project happens to be this BBC/HBO co-production; a historical bio-based on industrial pioneer Anne Lister and starring Suranne Jones in the lead.
We can likely expect Wainwright's trademark compelling story threads, top-notch acting and excellently spun character arcs.
