If you were to browse through nearly any list of the greatest sitcoms of all time, Friends will undoubtedly make the top five (or at least the top ten) nearly every time. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, the show of course revolves around a circle of friends living in Manhattan. You have Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc), Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Ross (David Schwimmer), all pretty much getting into random shenanigans week after week with hilarity subsequently ensuing. However, the show seemed to shine its brightest when it opened the door for other characters. From boyfriends, sisters and famous actors playing themselves and even strippers. Over the years, stars flocked to the show to film a guest spot or, if they were lucky, a recurring role on the series. Most of them were adequate enough but a select few were quite exceptional; chewing up the scenery on such a scale that they were branded into our memories as much as the main cast. So in honour of those great guests, let's look back at the most enduring comedy series in television history...
