South Park: 10 Funniest Kenny Deaths

Oh my god, they killed Kenny! You bastards!

South Park has so many running gags that it's hard to keep track of them all. With the series having run for so long, there will inevitably be an overabundance of memorable jokes and motifs. Still, one that every viewer loves is that of Kenny's constant deaths.

The iconic orange parka-wearing boy and his lack of spoken words is a memorable part of the show, so much that even those who don't watch it can single him out and even laugh at his pitiful demises.

What started as a simple gag about a kid dying every episode has become a significant storytelling source for the series. It even went on to from an integral piece of world-building in the Coon & Friends trilogy, proving how ubiquitous the joke has become with the show's canon.

Poor Kenny has died over 125 times, and he seems set to keep that record going as the series continues.

Looking back on this young boy's vast array of demises is an excellent opportunity to explore some of the show's best humour and prove that his deaths weren't in vain, as they helped pursue the course of comedy.

10. Death By Turkeys - "Starvin' Marvin"

Seeing as this was the show's first Thanksgiving special, it seemed inevitable that turkeys would make their way into the episode. As you could expect from South Park, they were anything but docile and ended up causing a tonne of collateral damage, most notably the gruesome demise of Kenny McCormick.

Starvin' Marvin follows the boys after they accidentally end up adopting an Ethiopian child due to a misunderstanding. Aside from this main plot is a B-story centred on Dr Mephisto's mutant turkeys, who go on a rampage causing chaos in the town.

In a final battle to take down the creatures, Kenny ends up falling victim to a pack as they tear him apart, ripping out his eye and limbs, in a parody of the final execution scene from Braveheart.

Part of what makes this death so hilarious is the absolute barbarity of these flightless birds. They tear Kenny apart with no remorse, and their constant gobbling while picking him to death is the icing on the cake. Additionally, the Braveheart parody gives the death a strange sense of cinematic spectacle, despite the crappy animation.
