After the guys come into possession of the One Ring from the film, they each squabble over who gets to keep it. Eventually, they decide that whoever can hold on to the ring the longest gains ownership. With Howard, Raj and Sheldon clinging onto it on the sofa, they each fall asleep until Sheldon awakes realising that only he held on. He takes the ring into the bathroom to clean it up, looks in the mirror, and realises he has transformed into Gollum. Of course, this is a dream sequence, as Leonard reveals he sent the ring back where it came from, leading to Raj's wonderful response: "The fires of Mount Doom?!"
