5. Nyla & Shanna Settle Their Beef In Sloppy Fashion
Watching AEW attempt to develop an undercard women's division programme in Nyla Rose vs. Shanna has been refreshing, given the scene's lack of focus since launch, though the feud has often struggled through lacklustre execution. Unfortunately, it was more of the same last night.
The rivalry came to a head in a big tables match. The right idea, given that 'The Native Beast' putting the Portuguese through a table started this story in the first place, but it was clunky. The duo's work never clicked and there were multiple spots in which the action was held up by the performers taking too long to set up the plunder. Wrestling's no fun when you can see the cogs turning and several parts of this were contrived, despite their best attempts.
It's a shame, as Rose has immense potential as the division's powerhouse and Shanna is often excellent, but it felt like they weren't on the same page. A disjointed match.
