10 Actors Who Should Play WWE Attitude Era Superstars In Movies
9. Eric Stonestreet As Jerry Lawler
In the 90s, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross firmly implanted themselves as the voice of the WWE. Save for perhaps Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, there has never been a more legendary commentary duo than The King and J.R.
As such, there's not a whole lot of physicality required of either of these roles. Eric Stonestreet doesn't need to put on a singlet during the entire 90 minute runtime, he just has to be able to scream and rant about "puppies" and T&A with an appropriately high-pitched franticness. If you've ever seen his work on Modern Family, you know this isn't that far outside of his wheelhouse.
