In the 90s, Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross firmly implanted themselves as the voice of the WWE. Save for perhaps Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan, there has never been a more legendary commentary duo than The King and J.R.

As such, there's not a whole lot of physicality required of either of these roles. Eric Stonestreet doesn't need to put on a singlet during the entire 90 minute runtime, he just has to be able to scream and rant about "puppies" and T&A with an appropriately high-pitched franticness. If you've ever seen his work on Modern Family, you know this isn't that far outside of his wheelhouse.
