Should ‘The War Dog’ manage to wrestle his freedom away from ‘The Salt of the Earth’, a run with all manner of championships would undoubtedly be in his future.
Big, angry, and stronger than a bull, Wardlow will make for a menacing presence in the AEW title scene for years to come. ‘Mr. Mayhem’s’ recent showing against W. Morrissey on the 4 May 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite demonstrated to the world that he is anything but SAWFT, even when facing larger competitors.
It also bears repeating that, while he didn’t come away with the win, ‘The War Dog’ certainly held his own against CM Punk in their encounter during ‘The Best in the World’s’ feud with MJF.
Putting the TNT title on Wardlow, whenever it does eventually happen, is just common sense. It is the natural progression, readying him for a future run with the AEW World Championship.
