9. Seth Rollins Vs The Miz (Backlash 2018)
The Miz was on a great run of form in 2018, which was handy as the rest of the Backlash card that year was uninspiring, to say the least, and he was able to have a great match against Seth Rollins.
The pay-per-view came off the back of a disappointing WrestleMania 34, which didn't help considering that most of the bouts were rematches that again failed to deliver. The long-anticipated Shinsuke Nakamura versus AJ Styles feud completely missed the mark, turning the former heel without winning the WWE Championship.
Elsewhere on the card Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss had an awful match, Randy Orton and Jeff Hardy were having a typically boring scrap for the United States title, and Daniel Bryan's return immediately fell flat against the struggling Big Cass.
Thankfully, there was one thing on the show that was worth watching and it came in the opener between The Miz and Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship. 'The Arhitect' by no means dragged Miz to a great match either, as the 'A-Lister' had never looked more comfortable inside a ring as he did fighting for the IC title.
