2. Adam Cole Becomes The AEW World Champion
Adam Cole displayed a new level of viciousness on Rampage this past week. After damn near kicking off Evil Uno’s head, Cole cut an impassioned promo, laying out his intentions for the days ahead:
“People seem to forget who the hell I am. I am one of the best damn pro wrestlers not just in AEW, but on the planet, and I have been for years. I have traveled the globe for years. I’ve won world championship after world championship for years, and at the end of the day, Adam Cole always ends up becoming the guy. No matter the promotion, no matter the company, no matter the brand, Adam Cole “Bay Bay” always ends up running the show. There is something else that I want, and I swear to God I could care less who has it... I will become the AEW World Champion.”
A title match between “Hangman” Adam Page and Adam Cole would elevate Page’s reign to the next level, but if “The Panama City Playboy” emerges victorious over “Hangman”, the resulting fallout would tie in perfectly with the turmoil already fracturing The Elite.
