10 Awesome Wrestlers Who Left WWE FAR Too Soon

1. James Storm

James Storm left WWE before he had even signed a contract, making him the quickest departure from the company within this list.

A former TNA World Champion and a great wrestler, 'Cowboy' feels like a mixture of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels with a splash of Spaghetti Westerns thrown in. Therefore his exit from WWE NXT after taking part in only two matches - both victories - was a massive disappointment.

Storm is a fine example of the fact that WWE is not the only option out there for people, and for some isn't even the best. In the case of this former Beer Money member, he was offered a contract with WWE and stated in an episode of Busted Open Radio that they were confident he would have gotten over, but he turned the offer down as he and his wife were planning on having another child, and he wanted to be home as much as he could.

Although this was the right decision for him, it did mean that his time with the company was blink and you'll miss it, and he had left before he'd even properly joined. There must be an alternative universe somewhere which saw him become a significant WWE star, but it seems that this reality will never see such a place.
