10. Spirit Squad
WWE.comYes, there is a catch involved here. Of the five members of the Spirit Squad, only one of them (Nicky, who would eventually become Dolph Ziggler) has made anything of himself, although one of them had plenty of potential to do so (Kenny, played by Kenn Doane), but would ultimately fail. The other three, however, were hot garbage, gimmick or no gimmick. If you remember back to your days in high school, male cheerleaders have always been viewed in certain lights. They can be annoying. They can be far too cheery (like all cheerleaders, really). A lot of the time, they aren't cut out for any other sports, so they take to cheerleading and feel they can "hang" with the rest of the athletes in school, even though none of the jocks want anything to do with them, as the jocks are simply trying to score with the females that cheer. That makes a group of male cheerleaders a really good wrestling gimmick. They'll immediately rile people up, and get the right heel heat desired. It's just unfortunate that the gimmick went to a group of people that (mostly) could not do it justice, giving us three failures and a tremendous waste of natural athletic ability.
