10 Best Active Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion

9. Lance Archer

Ricochet WWE Intercontinental Title
AEW

Lance Archer is massive, physically imposing, and plays the role of monster well in AEW. He’s a great talent for any promotion to have, and has had blistering matches against Cody Rhodes, Jon Moxley, and recently “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Title.

The problem for the young Archer is that AEW’s roster is absolutely stacked. So far, Archer has always been used to elevate other talents. He plays the role of “monster heel whom the hero must overcome after gruelling punishment” so well that it’s hard to see him as anything else. On top of this, Tony Khan very much seems to be a man who reserves World Titles for the absolute best. While Lance Archer is a very talented wrestler in his own right, he doesn't quite fit that category.

If Archer ever makes his way to Impact Wrestling or even AAA then perhaps this will all change. Archer certainly has the necessary talent to make a reach for a coveted World Title. However, while he’s a part of a roster that has the talent pool of AEW, the big strap just seems too far out of reach. It just doesn't seem likely given AEW's talent pool and style that Archer will ever reach that pinnacle. Only time will tell, but for now, it's a safe bet to rule out any World Title runs in the near future.

The Iron Sheik once said, "DON'T BE A F****** JABRONI!" That advice changed my life, as I am in fact now standing here as definitely not a jabroni. Thanks for reading my stuff! #HTX Matthew 11:28
