10 Best AEW Entrance Themes
9. Sammy Guevara
Sammy Guevara has played the heel in AEW so far, and it's a great fit for him: he is the 'Best Ever', which is an incredible yet basic nickname, and he has a gift of a face, in that you'd never tire of seeing it reduced to a pulp.
But he's also capable of playing babyface; he's a grinder who has documented every step of his pro wrestling journey, and came across very well promoting his match with Cody before he formalised that turn by betraying his victorious opponent.
His theme captures each side of his personality so well that it could be used interchangeably.
The lyrics map Sammy's admirable journey to national television, and there's a cool, inspiring quality to the beat, but there's a blissful sound to the synth line that could easily be interpreted as hubristic in the extreme: it's as if it is recorded on clouds, and that's the level, so far above you, to which Guevara has ascended.
Still, it's an unusual theme for wrestling that could work significantly better with a touch more mixer input - it catches you off-guard, and you have to scramble for clarity.
