10 Best Chokeslams In Wrestling History

10. Jinsei Shinzaki/Hakushi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_Z4IooJn5A You would think that the Chokeslam would only make sense to be used by someone who towers over their opponent. After all, unlike most power moves, which can be used with great effect by wrestlers of different statures, the Chokeslam is one move that, more than any other, is dependent on height for more success. That€™s why you see many more big wrestlers use the move over smaller ones, any why seeing Jinsei Shinzaki, a.k.a. Hakushi, using the move. Standing at 5€™11 and weighing 223lbs., Shinzaki was no larger than Bret Hart when he worked in WWE in the mid-1990s, yet he used the Chokeslam on a regular basis. That said, Shinzaki actually used the move very well, getting all the essential elements of the move right. He lifted his opponents properly, he got the timing right, and he dropped them at the right angle to make the move look more impactful. Shinzaki even managed to perform the move on two opponents at the same time which, given his smaller stature, really amplified the illusion of unnatural strength that he sought to create while using the Chokeslam.
