One of the best ever Chamber matches, this immaculately structured, narratively perfect contest built perfectly off the crowd’s adoration for Kofi Kingston and the seething hatred that Bryan generated in his time as champion. The entire match was built around Bryan's miraculous success as a heel, entering first and lasting the whole match before managing to pull out the win.

His opening stretch with Samoa Joe brought back memories of their classic ROH matches, with Joe letting out his entire ferocious offence on Bryan, chopping the hell out of his chest and laying waste to the much smaller champion. Bryan sold the offence like he was dying and returned fire with sadistic kicks and chops of his own. The rest of the participants entering made for further brilliant moments, with a particularly noteworthy Swanton Bomb from the top of the chamber to the turnbuckle from Jeff Hardy. Randy Orton and AJ Styles also had a fun sequence that set up their sadly disappointing WrestleMania contest.

Finally, it came down to Kofi Kingston, building off the momentum of his gauntlet matches and the overwhelming fan support. Bryan played heel to perfection here, being the ideal opposition for Kofi's pure babyface journey. With every offensive move, the tension grew until every person in the audience was sitting on the edge of their seats. Despite the unlikeliness of the win here, everyone believed that Kofi could pull it off and the match was so good that Kofi's loss didn't hurt it in the slightest. Expert babyface Bryan managed to help cement another man in the role he was so perfect at; he truly can make any alignment or position on the card work brilliantly. What a beautiful Chamber contest.
