10 Best Early Year WWE Feuds

8. Bret Hart Vs. Owen Hart (1994)

Brother vs. brother isn't that easy of a story to tell because it's hard to make fans believe that two brothers hate each other. When Owen turned on Bret after their Royal Rumble 1994 tag match, it was because Owen was mad that Bret didn't tag him in due to Bret's knee injury. Owen kicked him in the back of the leg to cement his heel turn and then followed it up with the "kicked his leg out of his leg" line. Following the turn, Owen wanted to wrestle Bret, but Bret as the noble older brother didn't want to beat up his younger sibling. Due to the tie during the Royal Rumble match between Bret and Lex Luger, it was announced that the only way Bret would get a WrestleMania 10 WWE Title match was if he wrestled Owen first. Their match at WrestleMania 10 is an all-time classic that is one of the best opening matches in WWE history. Despite not having an official match before, they had amazing chemistry. When Owen got the win it was a huge upset that really put him on the map. At the end of the night, Bret won the WWE Title and plenty of guys celebrated while Owen had a look of anger on his face. The feud was great because it elevated Owen from being a midcard babyface going nowhere to a legit top heel that main evented with his brother through the summer.
