7. Chris Jericho Counters A Springboard Into A Codebreaker
The Rey Mysterio versus Chris Jericho feud was one of the undisputed highlights of WWE in 2009, producing fantastic matches at Judgement Day, Extreme Rules, Smackdown, Raw and The Bash. It was the Bash outing which was the best of the lot. In a world without the Shawn Michaels versus The Undertaker match at WrestleMania XXV, this would have been the match of the year. Rey and Y2J had been feuding for months going into The Bash and their matches had increasingly featured counters to moves and sequences. They were learning every match it made exciting for the audience as you never really knew what was going to happen next. Nobody expected Jericho to counter a Rey Mysterio springboard into a midair Codebreaker. It was a 'holy s***' moment in a match and feud full of them.
