10 Best Heels Of WWE's PG Era
2. The Miz
If you had said that The Miz was going to be one of the greatest heels of the PG Era when it began almost a decade ago, most fans would have scoffed or hurled abuse at you. Despite possessing undeniable potential, The Miz never managed to embody a role that struck a chord with fans.
That's not to say that he didn't come close throughout the years. His team with John Morrison was entertaining but it has only been recently that everything has fallen into place for The Miz to become the best true heel in the company.
The recent return and addition of his wife, Maryse, acted as a catalyst, propelling The Miz to new heights. He has become less of a caricature and more of a wonderfully self righteous performer who is used to getting their own way. Slight missteps such as an underwhelming WWE Championship reign and lacklustre face turn in 2012 only highlight the incredible job that The Miz has done in carving out his own hallmark position in WWE's midcard.
Very few performers have done as much for the prestige of the Intercontinental Championship. When you can bolster a whole division with your promo work and make opponents look like world beaters, what else can fans ask for?
