10 Best UFC Fighters Of The Decade
1. Jon Jones
Jon Jones has understandably got his fair share of critics and some may even scoff at his ranking as the number one Fighter of the Decade on this list.
But, if you were to simply judge Jones on his merits inside of the Octagon over the last ten years, could anyone honestly claim to have been better than him during that period?
Since March 2010, Jones' win record reads as a who's who of top calibre UFC Mixed Martial Artists.
Brandon Vera, Mauricio Rua, Quinton 'Rampage' Jackon, Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen, Alexander Gustafsson, Daniel Cormier and Thiago Santos have all fallen to Dana White's pick as the greatest fighter to have ever plied their trade in the UFC.
Controversies have often overshadowed his fine work in the Octagon, but there's no denying that Jones' decade of dominance will go down in history as one of the most impressive runs in all of MMA.
In terms of what comes next for 'Bones', a highly anticipated rematch with Cormier will always be on the cards as long as the two are active performers. However, a victory over his Twitter sparring partner - 'The Last Stylebender' Israel Adesanya - would surely establish Jones as the undisputed greatest performer of his generation.
For now though, all we can do is marvel at the achievements of this decade's top fighter.
