It is often forgotten that professional wrestling is a genuine art form. It portrays the physicality of battle through various forms of choreography, two (or more) individuals telling a story using only their bodies and facial expressions, dragging an audience through a number of emotions on their way to the finish.

Born Ruffians manage to display this excellently in their video for their 2011 single 'The Ballad of Moose Bruce'. The video features Chris Hero and Marcus Marquez doing battle, filmed in black and white and played in slow motion.

The results are quite beautiful, even if it is Hero demolishing Marquez for three minutes. The climax is a super slo-mo of Hero performing a sweet moonsault, and the move has very rarely ever looked so graceful.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
