10 Best WWE Character Arcs Since Last Year's WrestleMania
1. Becky Lynch (The Man To The Money)
'The Man' got off to a shaky start after knocking off Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event of the Show of Shows, with her frequently having to shake off Lacey Evans' attempts to steal her Raw Women's title away and even losing her SmackDown Women's title to Flair at Money in the Bank.
Natalya was then disposed of at SummerSlam and a series of battles against a returning Sasha Banks unfolded with Lynch still managing to continue on as Raw Women's Champion.
Surviving a particularly gruelling Hell in a Cell match at the titular event against Banks was her crowning achievement as champ and Lynch seemed to then become quite comfortable in the knowledge that nobody could touch her at the top.
Despite claims that the company were trying to ensure that she stayed champion, Lynch kept on doing whatever she pleased and this involved calling out Asuka for a match at the Royal Rumble.
Lynch avenged her loss against 'The Empress of Tomorrow' from a year earlier. However, it then became clear to her that there was nobody else left to battle and with that came a brash Conor McGregor-esque arrogance.
Shades, fur coats and an acceptance of her status as serious money in the company, replaced the grit, 'THE MAN' t-shirts and willingness to do whatever it took to be the best.
If you were to show March 2020's iteration of Becky Lynch to 'Mania 35's show-closing champ-champ, she'd probably spark her out cold and stamp on her glasses for good measure.
Perhaps Shayna Baszler will remind Lynch of what a real threat feels like and maybe even force her to become the Becky of old coming into 'Mania 36.
