10 Best WWE Face Turns Of The 2010s
4. Damien Mizdow - WrestleMania 31
Damien Sandow came back into the mainstream in 2014 in the most bizarre way.
He was cast as the stunt double for The Miz, who had recently "gone Hollywood", adopting The Miz's ring attire, moveset, mannerisms, and even changing his name to "Damien Mizdow".
Mizdow would imitate Miz's moves outside of the ring whilst he was having matches, even taking the same bumps as The Miz despite not having an opponent. It sounds goofy, but Sandow was talented enough to pull it off and the gimmick got over huge.
Miz and Mizdow were one of the most popular acts in the whole company and everybody was waiting for the moment when Mizdow would turn on his master and break out. Their waiting ended during the 2015 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Miz and Mizdow made it down to the final three and Miz ordered his stunt double to eliminate himself so he stood a better chance of winning. Mizdow had finally had enough and threw The Miz out, drawing a legitimately huge pop from crowd.
Sadly, it was all downhill from here. Mizdow didn't win the Battle Royal (that honour was reserved for The Big Show) and unceremoniously lost to Miz in a match on an episode of Raw weeks later.
What a waste.
