10 Best WWE Matches Ever To Take Place In The UK
Old Blighty has seen its share of barnburners over the years.
WWE recently wrapped up their post-WrestleMania tour of the UK and Europe, where they performed in front of an enraptured audience that only gets to see them live twice a year. Of particular note on this tour was that Triple H, who was until recently a WrestleMania only performer, headlined in a series of matches against some of WWE's brightest up-and-comers.
The Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose and Triple H & Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose & Sami Zayn matches certainly offer something different and, by all accounts, they were great matches. I have it on good authority that HHH/Ambrose from Newcastle, for example, was the best match on the show and a worthy headliner.
WWE haven't always given us UK fans something to shout about on their excursions over here, however. In the past, UK house shows, television tapings and, yes, even pay-per-views were marred by too many matches where wrestlers were clearly going through the motions and phoning it in.
But, to their credit, WWE have given us British folk a barnburner or two over the years. It isn't all Goldust vs. Rico and Chuck Palumbo vs. Orlando Jordan (two classics that I have actually witnessed in the flesh) for us, oh no - when they could be bothered, WWE and their performers have positively rocked London, Manchester, Birmingham and other parts of Blighty.
Here are the ten best WWE matches to have taken place on British soil.
