10 Best WWE Royal Rumble Performers (Who Never Won The Rumble)
9. Beth Phoenix
The women’s Rumbles are as yet in their infancy, with only three under WWE’s belt so far. Beth Phoenix co-holds the record for the number of Rumble appearances, which isn’t so much to write about as she shares this with another 11 women.
What sets Phoenix apart from her cohorts at the top of the table is her 2010 appearance in the men’s Rumble. A few women have appeared in the men’s events, perhaps most notably Kharma, whose splashy entrance her subsequent WWE career sadly didn’t live up to.
Phoenix, though, tops the lot. 2010 was a great Rumble, with her brief but memorable appearance a high point. She made her shock entrance at #5, and did the WWE universe a big favour by quickly eliminating The Great Khali. She did so by smooching him to distract the giant, which is a bit regressive, but it got the job done all the same.
Since then she has made feel good comebacks in the modern iterations of the Rumble. Had the women’s event been around in her prime, no doubt she would have won it, but she left her mark on the competition all the same.
