At one point, it looked plausible that WWE would book a Tables, Ladders & Chairs bout involving The Dudley Boyz at WrestleMania.

Nothing was announced, obviously, but Bubba Ray and D-Von did react favourably to questioning along those lines during several interviews with the media. There's still time to make such a bout happen.

The New Day would be the most logical opponents, but another team would be required to fill out the 3-team dynamic that could hark back to the classics of old. At WrestleMania X-Seven, The Dudleyz faced Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz, so why not put Enzo Amore & Big Cass into the mix?

New Day and the newcomers are extremely popular with fans, and there's every reason to suspect they will still be come next Spring. Naturally, this all hinges on WWE taking their time with both tandems, but if they do it'd create a scenario longtime fans would go nuts for.

This could be the perfect swansong for The Dudleyz, whilst also helping the others cement their own legacies as top teams.
