10 Biggest WWE Losers Of 2024
These ten wrestlers have lost more matches than any other WWE superstar in 2024.
WWE began 2024 by announcing a historic 10-year partnership with Netflix. This collaboration will witness Monday Night Raw transitioning to the streaming platform starting January 2025. With the future looking very promising, the superstars understood their assignments and gave their all to entertain the fans this year, and the creative team under Triple H worked tirelessly to put on entertaining matches and storylines throughout the year.
The superstars stepped up their game, but not every performer could ride the tide. For every breakout performance, some individuals struggled to gain traction. The year 2024 saw its fair share of superstars who simply couldn’t catch a break and wound up on the losing side in most of their matches.
However, not all losses meant failure, as certain wrestlers had to endure losses because of their position as heels and long-term storytelling. Either way, these ten superstars ended up securing more losses than the other wrestlers on the roster in 2024, and this list dives into the reasons behind the wrestlers earning these records and where their careers might head as they venture into 2025.
10. Austin Theory
It's appalling to see how Austin Theory went from being Vince McMahon's modern-day chosen one and beating John Cena at WrestleMania 39 to being an afterthought. It's safe to say that 2024 was not kind to Austin Theory, as he racked up 33 losses out of the 48 matches he competed in this year.
Forming A-Town Down Under with Grayson Waller seemed like a fruitful endeavor for Theory, at least on paper. The duo found some success by winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40 and then getting rebranded as the new WWE Tag Team Champions. However, WWE failed to follow through with decent title defenses, and Theory and Waller dropped the title to DIY after 90 days, with just one successful title defense to their name.
WWE then started teasing a rift between Waller and Theory, which hinted at the latter turning face for the first time. However, that's another thing WWE failed to follow through with when it came to the former United States Champion. Instead, WWE sent him and Waller to NXT to put over NXT Tag Team Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer.
He did get to compete against Cody Rhodes in two dark singles matches in late September to early October, but apart from that, WWE just fed him and Waller to The New Bloodline and The Motor City Machine Guns at live events, and Theory even jobbed to Luke Gallows in a dark match on the 6 December 2024 episode of SmackDown.
