10 Booking Steps For WWE Monday Night Raw

6. Kevin Owens Refuses To Give Ryback Another Shot

Is Night Of Champions the end of Ryback's Intercontinental Title reign? Many fans feel 'The Big Guy' was never a fitting replacement for the forced cancellation of Daniel Bryan's tenure through injury in the first place. Ryback is obviously a very different performer to Bryan, but his run with the belt has been far from wholly convincing. On the Pay-Per-View, Ryback will face Kevin Owens. The former NXT Heavyweight Champion's momentum has slowed somewhat ever since his feud with John Cena ended, so maybe WWE will want to put the Intercontinental Title on him to reignite things a little. Adding credence to that argument, Ryback would likely be far more effective chasing the belt rather than holding it. One idea for Monday Night Raw may to have Owens, as the new Intercontinental Champion, rubbing that fact in everyone's face. If there are 2 new champs (Owens and Charlotte) showcasing their newly won belts on the show, it'll feel very fresh. Better yet, Owens could point blank refuse to give Ryback a rematch that night, making him wait until he gets another shot. That simple heel move could build some anticipation for another bout further down the road.
