Could Raw see Gallows & Anderson further confuse AJ Styles?

Something intriguing is building in WWE. This time last year, it would have been impossible to predict that AJ Styles would be about to headline a WWE pay-per-view, challenging for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Better yet, !*$%-kicking duo Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows are by his side in the fight against Roman Reigns.

That's where the intrigue sets in, because AJ hasn't looked all that comfortable with their presence to date. On last week's Raw, the pair attacked Reigns, something that Styles later claimed during a promo had nothing to do with him. More of the same is needed this coming week, because it's one story that's working.

There's still no forthcoming explanation as to why Shane McMahon is still calling the shots on the show, so that's just something we as fans have to roll with. Perhaps something will happen at Payback, leading Vince McMahon to call for the returns of Triple H and Stephanie?

Who knows, but right now WWE are getting more things right than they are getting wrong, which is refreshing. Let's take a look at what the company may have in store for the final episode of Raw before Payback on May 1...

10. The New Day Beat Sheamus & Rusev

The New Day need something to keep them ticking away whilst the tag-team tournament is still ongoing. Their challengers for Payback are yet to be established, but it'll either be The Vaudevillains or Enzo Amore & Big Cass who face them for the WWE Tag-Team Titles on May 1.

'King' Barrett has already been ousted from the equation, and it seems clear that the League Of Nations won't be around for too much longer. The opportunity is there to speed that process up and put the faction of their misery on Monday Night Raw. All it would take is one defeat at the hands of New Day.

WWE wouldn't need to announce that 'The Lads' were going to split post-match, but they could show communication problems during a tag bout. Del Rio could repeatedly get up on the apron, trying to get involved, annoying Sheamus and Rusev in the process.

That would provide the opening for one of The New Day to pick up the win. They shouldn't be losing anyway before defending the Tag Titles.
