On the latest edition of SmackDown Live, Dolph Ziggler quickly pinned Curt Hawkins and then cut a promo mid-ring with Renee Young. Towards the end of the short interview, Ziggler took the microphone himself and outright said that he was issuing an open challenge to any man on Raw for his WWE Intercontinental Title.

This means that a cross-brand match is all but set in stone for Survivor Series. Coming out to the ring on Monday Night Raw, Rusev says that he feels the need to prove himself to Lana all over again after what Bill Goldberg did to him last week.

Therefore, he wants to accept Dolph's challenge and win the Intercontinental Title. Seeing an opportunity themselves, Sheamus and Cesaro say they're the ones who should be getting a title shot. After all, Mick Foley didn't come through in that regard for them following the 'Best Of 7 Series'.

This can lead to a Triple Threat bout on Raw next week, or even to a situation whereby Sheamus is dropped from the tag-team elimination match and faces Ziggler. That would prevent Team Raw's tag ranks from outnumbering those on SmackDown at the pay-per-view.
