10 Burning Questions For WWE Royal Rumble 2017
Who will toss the most superstars? How will the world title pictures look after the Rumble?
We’re just hours away from one of the most hotly anticipated PPV events of the year: the Royal Rumble.
In some ways, the Rumble match can be even more anticipated than WrestleMania. While Mania is a huge spectacle with marquee matchups, the Rumble is a mystery wrapped in a riddle and shrouded by an enigma.
Particularly this year. There are several possibilities floating around, between who
wins the Rumble and who are the world/universal champions heading into
WrestleMania XXXIII. It’s a recipe to make this a Rumble that is genuinely
intriguing, even if fans end up not liking the result.
With that said, there are plenty of questions surrounding the Rumble match and PPV itself, so let’s take a look at some of those that need to be answered Sunday night…
10. Will There Be A Perfect 10?
There is just far too much symmetry here for this not to happen.
Tye Dillinger is clearly winding down his time in NXT. He’s reached a level of popularity among the Full Sail faithful that there’s nowhere else for him to go. So when he addressed the crowd a couple weeks back questioning his own direction, the fans chanted at him, “Royal Rumble! Number 10!”
Dillinger, dubbed The Perfect 10, would get an insane reaction if he makes his WWE debut in the Royal Rumble at #10. Fans have been speculating about that for months now, and it’s gotten to the point that they’re expecting it.
But we also know that WWE (read: Vince McMahon) seems to love screwing with fans’ emotions and tries to be “unpredictable” (read: changing plans for no reason other than some wrestling website guessed the plans). So will they send Doink the Clown out at #10 instead? Or maybe Roman Reigns if he loses the WWE Universal Championship match can enter there!
