10 Most Controversial WWE "Wellness Policy" Scandals

10. Evan Bourne

WWE.comWWE.comAs we all know, Evan Bourne is no more when it comes to the WWE. He was part of the big batch of stars that were released earlier this year, and it brought a limp couple of years in the career of Bourne to an end. He'd struggled with injuries over that time, but he also struggled with the Wellness Policy. He picked up two strikes, but the first came whilst he was on perhaps his finest run with the WWE. He was one half of the Unified Tag Team Champions at the time, forming Air Boom with Kofi Kingston. And they were a pretty decent team, but Bourne's first suspension was a real hammer blow on their title reign. Sure, they held it for a short while after Bourne came back from his ban, but the damage was done. They actually dropped the belts on a house show (a real rarity), and their little run was over. And amazingly, just two nights later, Bourne got his second ban - a 60-day suspension this time. He was rarely seen on WWE TV again, with just a few appearances on NXT to write home about. Although injuries got the better of him, you have to wonder what Evan Bourne could have achieved with the WWE had he not breached that Wellness Policy.
