2. John Cena Delivers An Attitude Adjustment To Randy Orton Through A Table
John Cena and Randy Orton spent most of their Hell in a Cell match feeling each other out. As previously noted, the two rivals know each other so well that it was difficult for either guy to get the momentum to shift in their favor. The contest featured counter after counter with no end in sight, and by the end, it could have easily gone either way. Both Cena and Orton were desperate to contend for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Brock Lesnar one last time and were willing to do whatever it took to emerge victorious. Similar to Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins in the main event, Orton and Cena heavily relied on tables for most of their match. By the end, Orton had already planted Cena with two RKOs and was looking for a third, this time through a table. Knowing victory was in Orton's reach, Cena managed to hoist The Viper up on his shoulders while on the top rope to connect with an Attitude Adjustment through the table set up in the ring below them. Sure enough, it led to Cena picking up the win and claiming contender-ship to the gold.
