9. Solo Sikoa
If the whole point of the Rumble (beyond, you know, fun) is setting up WrestleMania’s biggest storylines, it doesn’t get much more Narrative than an explosive debut for the newest member of the Anoa’i clan. Solo Sikoa is very much at the beginning of his wrestling career, but taking a punt on him could yield exciting results.
Currently plying his trade on NXT, Sikoa is the son of Rikishi, brother of the Usos, and cousin of Roman Reigns. In his limited appearances, he looks pretty cool, with a gnarly streetfighting style that the Usos would eventually perfect after ditching the Day-Glo and facepaint.
The highlight of Reigns’ Tribal Chief gimmick has probably been the family business, with his feud against cousin Jey an emotional peak. Sikoa, then, could come to the table to fight for the honour of his big brother - not content to be a right-hand man, the newest Samoan battler might not fancy paying his dues, wishing instead to leap to the main event.
Sikoa is obviously untested at the highest level, but there’s no denying he comes from great stock, one of the most successful families in professional wrestling, and he’d be a storyline beyond “Roman and Brock fight again”.
