Did you know that Hulkamania very nearly ran wild on UFC? Neither did co-founder Campbell McLaren who took to Twitter recently to deny Hogan's claims that he came close to joining the promotion during its early years. If true, there would be no real reason for McLaren to deny his claims, so why Hogan would make them in the internet age is baffling. Hogan's comments about the promotion weren't particularly flattering, claiming that seeing "guys get beat up when they should have been stopped" put him off ever stepping inside the Octagon. Of course, when UFC was founded, Hogan was already well into his 40s and long past his athletic prime, so perhaps he's bitter than they never gave him a call?
